My Life Coaching Process

This life coaching process is designed to guide you through a personalized journey of growth and achievement.

This complimentary call is our opportunity to connect, get to know each other, and determine if we’re a good fit to work together. There’s no charge for this initial conversation—it’s all about exploring how I can best support your journey.

This contract sets the foundation for our partnership, outlining our roles, the coaching process, and what you can expect from our sessions. It covers key details such as fees, session length, scheduling, and the nature of our relationship, ensuring that both you (the client) and I (the coach) are on the same page.

Before our first full paid session, I’ll ask you to complete a pre-coaching questionnaire. This form gathers important details like your family dynamics, age, goals, and more. It serves as an in-depth client intake, helping me understand you better and tailor our sessions to your needs right from the start.

Goal setting is a crucial part of our coaching journey, ensuring we have a clear understanding of what you’re working towards and the expectations in place. We’ll use the SMART technique to define your goals:

  • S – Specific
  • M – Measurable
  • A – Achievable
  • R – Relevant
  • T – Time-bound

Together, we’ll craft a step-by-step roadmap to reach your goals. This strategic plan will include clear timelines, specific goals, and tailored guidance to help you stay on track and achieve your desired outcomes.

The structure and frequency of our coaching sessions will be tailored to fit your needs and aligned with our action plan. The specifics will be outlined in our coaching agreement, but sessions generally last between 30 to 60 minutes and occur from once a week to once a month. The total number of sessions typically ranges from 6 to 12.

During these sessions, I’ll follow up on your progress toward achieving your goals, reinforcing our accountability agreement. You may also receive “homework” assignments to help you apply what you’re learning outside of our sessions. Throughout the journey, I’ll celebrate your successes, highlight your achievements, and provide ongoing support every step of the way!

Coaching models act as roadmaps for personal and professional development. They provide a structured pathway to achieve desired goals.

The model I use is the GROW model which was created by Sir John Whitmore and colleagues in the late 1980s and has become one of the most popular coaching models for setting goals, improving performance, and coaching.

  • Goal – where do you want to be?
  • Reality – where are you now?
  • Options – what could you do to get there?
  • Will – what will you do?

My proprietary life optimization system is not just about setting goals but about creating an actionable pathway to achieve them with you as an active participant in your growth. As part of my life coaching process, I will be your accountability partner, and we’ll work together to create a customized life optimization plan that aligns with your aspirations. Don’t worry, we’ll start small, celebrate your wins, and continue to tweak as we make progress. Trust me, this works. I’ve been using this system for several years now and it helps me live a happy, fulfilled, and optimized life!

First off, take a deep breath…Hiring a life coach is a BIG step and one that should not be taken lightly. I’ve been in your shoes, it’s scary and that’s ok. Below are some FAQs that I hope will put you at ease.

A life coach is a type of wellness professional who helps people make progress in their lives to attain greater fulfillment. Life coaches aid their clients in improving their relationships, careers, and day-to-day lives.

Many people seek out life coaches for guidance in navigating a significant life change, such as taking on a new career. In plenty of cases, however, people turn to life coaches simply for help in building a happier, more meaningful life.

Indications that you may need a life coach:

  • Frequent irritability
  • High levels of stress and/or anxiety
  • Inability to break habits or start new ones
  • Lack of fulfillment in your life
  • Persistent feelings of dissatisfaction at work
  • Sense of blocked creativity

There’s no one answer to what makes a good coach — only what’s a good coach for you. Just like any relationship, it’s not always a good fit. I always start with a discovery call to get to know each other and see if we have a good synergy. Trust is earned and takes time. We’ll start slow and build that trust so we can go deeper with each session. No pressure, we’ll go at your pace.

While working with a life coach may help you deal with certain unresolved issues, life coaches cannot treat mood disorders, anxiety disorders, addiction, or any other mental health condition.

Privacy and confidentiality are paramount in our coaching relationship. I have clear policies and practices in place to safeguard our discussions. You’ll have a safe space to speak openly and freely. What is shared in our sessions is between me and you only.
